Two Vietnamese films, “Ao lua Ha Dong” (White Silk Dress) and “Nhung cam xuc Hanoi” (Feelings about Hanoi) won the hearts of cinema lovers at the fourth Asian Film Festival held in Tanzania from March 20-27.

This year’s film week was jointly sponsored by the embassies of Asian countries in Tanzania and attracted filmmakers from China, Japan, India, the Republic of Korea, Iran and Indonesia.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Vietnamese Ambassador in Tanzania, Nguyen Duy Thien, outlined Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements and plans to celebrate the 1,000th founding anniversary of the country’s capital city Thang Long-Hanoi.
