Belgium’s Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam will send a number of performers to appear at the 2010 Hue Festival, which will take place in the imperial city of Hue from June 5-13.

They include the Tof puppetry theatre groups, BALADEU’X dancing troupe, the comedienne Michelle Nguyen, and pianist Jean-François Maljean and saxophonist Robert Jeanne.

Since 2000 when it was held for the first time, the Hue Festival has become one of Vietnam’s biggest annual events, and one of the most important cultural events in the region.

The Chief Representative of the Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam, Franck Pezza, said he was delighted that they were taking part in the 2010 Hue Festival. He added” “This will promote cultural diversity and show respect for peoples’ individual cultural identities”.
