The final round of the buffalo fighting festival took place in Do Son town, northern Hai Phong port city on September 8.

It drew the participation of 16 buffalos, aged between four or five years old and all in good shape with a wide chest, a big groin, a long neck, an imposing bottom and bow shaped horns.

This year’s champion, buffalo No. 28, brought its owner VND25 million at the closing ceremony the same day.
