The elimination round of the 2nd Vietnam Idol 2008 was held at Ho Chi Minh Television headquarters on May 28.

Each candidate performed one song and the 20 best singers, including 10 men and 10 women, will be chosen to take part in the Studio round from September 3 to October 3.
