An exhibition entitled “Vietnam Fine Arts-Connecting Past and Present” was held in Hanoi on 28 December to mark the 40th anniversary of the Hong Kong-based Sunwah Group in Vietnam.

The event was co-held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.

On display are nearly 100 objects and some of the finest works of art of the millennium representing the country’s cultural heritage.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see ancient production tools, instruments, weapons and pottery of Dong Son culture, as well as folk art of the dynasties of Ly, Tran, Le and Nguyen from the 11th century to the 19th century.

Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of Sunwah Group and Sunwah Foundation said, it was wonderful for the exhibition to mark Hanoi’s 1000th birthday. It shows Vietnam’s beauty and the nature of its people.
