Ethnic Cultural Festival in Phu Yen province wraps up

The Ethnic Cultural Festival was held in south central Phu Yen province from June 30 to July 4.

The 7th event was the largest-ever gathering of performance troupes with over 1,300 people from 22 ethnic minorities in Phu Yen province participating.

During the festival, numerous activities were held for the first time, including an antiques exhibition, a food competition and street performances, which brought the special culture of ethnic minorities to audiences.

Gong performance, in particular, attracted ethnic minority performers, with each ethnic group bringing their own unique types of gongs and performance styles to the event.

Audiences were won over by a dance performance accompanied by 3 gongs, 5 drums by artists from the Cham Hrroi and Bana ethnic groups of Dong Xuan and Son Hoa districts.
