Vietnamese top weight lifter Thach Kim Tuan has been placed 5th in the International Weightlifting Federation’s (IWF) latest rankings.  

This was mainly thanks to his winning a gold medal at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games after lifting a total weight of 256kg.

Chinese athlete Long Qing Quan topped the rankings, followed by Chen Xiong (also from China), Berna Carlos from Colombia and Chadovich Stanislav from Bulgaria.
