A Vietnamese art troupe will take part in a festival entitled “Non-border chorus” in Michigan, USA, from July 19-23, which will attract around 300 pupils from 40 countries and territories around the world.
Durting the festival, which is aimed at introducing Vietnamese culture to international friends, 18 Vietnamese pupils and students will perform popular folk songs and dances such as “Leaning on boat side”, “Black horse melody”, “Dance with paper fans”, “Dance with conical palm hats” to the accompaniment of musical equipment.
This is a chance for international friends to enjoy Vietnamese arts and culture and help Vietnamese pupils and students in the US to know more about Vietnamese folk culture, especially traditional music.
The festival, held for the first time in 2007, helped strengthen solidarity among nations for a peaceful world. In 2009, Vietnam joined the festival in the Republic of Korea and gained a bronze medal.
