Vietnam War artifacts on display in the US

An exhibition entitled “Vietnam Graffiti Project”, aimed at reviewing the Vietnam War, opened on February 17 in Charlottesville city, Virginia, the US.

On display are marine maps, messages left by sailors on ships bulkheads, documents and personal items, which were used by troops on transport ships sailing from the US to Vietnam during the war.

The exhibits will be showcased at other US museums after finishing a 3-month exhibition at the Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society museum.

The Vietnam Graffiti Project of the Vietnam Archive at the Texas Tech University is a joint project between the Vietnam Archive, the US Department of Transportation Maritime Administration, and others. Created early in 2005, the project aims to collect and preserve historical items from various troop transport ships used during the Vietnam War.
