The contest is organised every two years with the aim of honouring the beauty of jewelry connected closely with the beauty of Vietnamese women.
The event draws together women from across the country. Contestants must be Vietnamese citizens, from 18 to 27 years old, over 1.60m tall, single, in good health and must never have any cosmetic surgery.
Apart from the three main prizes, beauty queen and two runners-up, the organising board will deliver 7 additional prizes for the best deportment, best figure, best evening gown and best face.
Under new rules, 30 percent of the winners’ prizes this year will be donated to charity.
The final round of Vietnam’s Jewelry Beauty Queen 2009 will be held in Can Tho City on December 24.
