More than 600 Cham people, domestic pilgrims and foreign tourists are celebrating the Goddess Ponagar Festival, which opened on May 8 in central Khanh Hoa province.

The province has been hard at work to prepare for the event and has poured more than VND3.3 billion (US$206,000) into upgrading facilities for the festival, which is held from the 21^st to 23^rd days of the third lunar month of the year.
