Hanoi to host running tournament for peace in October

The final round of a running tournament for peace will be held around Hoan Kiem Lake in the capital city of Hanoi on October 3, said organizers at the launch ceremony held at Quan Ngua Sports Palace on June 20.

More than 5,000 people attended the launch ceremony for amateur athletes.

According to the organizers, the 37th Hanoi Moi Run Tournament for Peace this year is part of activities to welcome the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

It is expected that this year’s tournament will attract the participation of some 15,000 people.
