Ratings are based on such criteria as holiday suitability and quality of shopping, services, hotels, restaurants, and transportation. According to this year’s results, Hanoi ranks 7th while Hoi An retains its 5th place ranking.
Nguyen Quy Phuong, deputy head of the Travel Agency of the National Administration of Tourism, said participants in the rating survey were most interested in the quality of tourist attractions and services – important information for the tourist sector to sondier in its future promotion efforts.
The results will be officially announced at the grand ceremony celebrating Hanoi’s 1,000th birthday in October.
Travel agents are currently expanding and improving the quality of their services to promote Hanoi’s image to its international friends.
