Recently, the Hai Phong's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a conference on enhancing service quality to welcome tourists.

The event attracted the attendance of delegates from The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, managers and local travel businesses.

Vice Director of the Hai Phong's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan said the Department has submitted plans to the City Administration to attract investment and develop tourism; directed international travel enterprises to apply for their new business licenses; ensured public security ... during Tet holiday and tourist seasons; inspected water and overland transportations as well as service facilities.

At the conference, many suggestions was also made by representatives such as: training foreign languages and communicative skills, upgrading Cat Bi airport, opening direct-flights between Hai Phong and Da Nang...ect.

In the coming time, the Hai Phong People's Committee will support the industry to train tourism skills and upgrade tourism infrastructure.
