The Vietnam Folk Art Association held a meeting in Hanoi on September 11 to mark its 40th anniversary and receive the Ho Chi Minh Order.

It was reported at the meeting that during the past 40 years, particularly 20 years of implementing the Doi Moi (Renewal) process, generations of leaders and staff of the association have researched, collected and disseminated folk art from the 54 ethnic groups to help Vietnamese people and international friends further understand the ethnic diversity of the nation.
