Following the government’s guidance, the first Rice Festival 2009 will be held in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang from November 28 – December 2, two days later than previously announced.  

The festival will attract the participation of representatives from 10 countries and territories, the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), and mass media organisations.

There will be some 20 activities including a firework show and an international seminar on “Vietnamese rice exports and integration”.
