The festival themed Vietnamese rice is scheduled to open at the Exhibition and Culture Centre in Soc Trang province on November 8, 2011

The organizing board announced at a press briefing in Ho Chi Minh City on August 16 that there will be about 1,000 stands showcasing export rice, rice products and farm equipment of different kinds.

The festival themed Vietnamese rice in the integration process will include a wide range of activities to promote the history of the wet rice civilization and agricultural tools to domestic and foreign friends, also promote Vietnam travel.

Creative farmers and outstanding export businesses will also be honoured on this occasion
