Mrs Khiet welcomed the delegation’s visit on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries, considering it a step towards closer cooperation between the two Committees for Ethnic Minorities, and a valuable contribution to developing the relationship between the two Parties and countries.
She highlighted that the traditional friendship founded by late Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Mao Zedong and fostered by generations of leaders of the two Parties and countries is an invaluable treasure to preserve, protect, develop and pass on to younger generations.
She cited the co-hosting of an exchange programme between ethnic minority youths of the two countries as a practical, contributing to consolidating and deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.
The Chinese head delegation, Wang Quanlei, affirmed that the leaders of the Chinese State and government along with their people always attach importance to developing the traditional friendship with Vietnam.
He said he will coordinate every effort with the Vietnamese Party, State and people to increasingly develop the two nations’ comprehensive strategic partnership.
