Forty-five writers from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia gathered for their first conference in Hanoi on September 6 to share experiences and discuss measures to boost cooperation among the writers’ associations of the three countries.

These writers had created famous works about the friendship of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. They agreed to establish a Mekong River literature prize to honour outstanding works about the solidarity and friendly relations between the countries.
