The Writers’ Associations of Vietnam and Laos will continue promoting cooperation and sharing experiences in writing, translating, and training young writers, said the President of the Lao Writers’ Association, Chanthi Duonsavan.

Talking after a press conference on the third Mekong Literature Award Ceremony, in Vientiane on March 15, the Lao President said that over the past years, the two associations have closely cooperated with each other, especially in organising writing contests on the Vietnam-Laos special friendship.

He expressed his gratitude for the Vietnam Writers’ Association’s effective assistance and said that the two associations have helped promote mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations.
