Vietnam-Japan friendship symphony orchestra

The Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra (TMSO) in coordination with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) will hold an informal performance at the Hanoi Opera House on November 7, conducted by the famous Japanese conductor, Honna Tetsuji.

The TMSO will give other performances after that in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on November 9 and 12 with the participation of Japanese violinist Kawabuko Tamaki.

In Hanoi, the two orchestras will perform Japanese folk songs, Rhapsody Vietnam-a piece written by Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians’ Association, and symphony No. 5.

The TMSO was established in 1965 and has become one of leading professional symphony orchestras in Japan, conducted by the talented Tadashi Mori, Akeo Watanabe and Hiroshi Wakasugi.
