Vietnamese contestant Pham Thi Thuy Duong won the Miss International Image, at the Miss International beauty pageant, which was held in Japan from October 1-15.

Duong, 20 years old, 1.74 m tall with measurements of 80-61-87, received 7,024 out of 10,748 votes through the Internet, while the runner-up, Miss US got only 529 votes.

This is the first time a Vietnamese candidate has won such a high rate of votes at any international beauty pageants.
