Saigontourist Holding company is one of the best Vietnam travel companies. They raised VND800 million for the city’s poor patients at its annual golf tournament on Saturday.
Golfers, totaling 150, from consul generals, local and foreign companies and the company’s partners, joined the tournament which took place at the 36-hole Vietnam Golf and Country Club (Thuduc Golf Court) in Long Thanh My Ward in the city’s District 9.
Do Ngoc Dinh won the tournament, while two other local golfers, Nguyen Tan Le and Nguyen Huu Lam Son were second and third respectively.
The company donated VND200 million to the Fund for the Poor in Ho Chi Minh city with the remaining VND600 million going to the Future Fund Scholarship managed by the Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients in Ho Chi Minh city.
In the past five years Saigontourist has raised VND2.5 billion to support poor patients in the city.
