The event attracts hundreds of stands from many ASEAN countries and artists from the Netherlands, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
This is the second time Vietnam has taken part in the festival, which promotes cultural diplomacy in 2009. On the opening day, 20 Vietnamese artists gave two performances on the main stages.
The Vietnamese delegation has one stand spotlighting the country’s landscape and its people and six others selling handicrafts, pottery and clothes with one promoting the country’s tourism industry.
The event is one of the biggest festivals in the Netherlands and has been held annually since 1958. The festival draws countries from all over the world.
The organising board expects to attract the same number of visitors as last year, 133,000. People interested in the festival can visit its website www.tongtongfair.vn.(84-63) 3 826042 – (84-63) 3 511142
