Female singer Minh Chuyen, who had participated in tens of singing contests, secured the 2010 Sao Mai Rendezvous title after successfully rendering composer Quoc Bao’s song ‘Cloud’ in the pop ballad style.

However, together with Dinh Manh Ninh, she was considered one of the two singers with the most inconsistent performances in the ten nights of the Sao Mai contest.

Chuyen possesses a warm and emotional singing voice, which is suitable to narrative, romantic songs. But an overdose of vocal techniques deprived her renditions of necessary delicacy.

‘Prospective singer’ title went to two singers Ha Hoai Thu and Dinh Manh Ninh. The Sao Mai contest is believed to serve as a launch pad for them to enter music industry and establish their names.

Luong Viet Quang was awarded the Most Popular title for his improved performance style.
