This is the first time such a contest has been organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to honour the humane values of Vietnamese families. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister Huynh Vinh Ai described this as an interesting competition, as family always draws much public attention.
Photo entries will be displayed at an exhibition, scheduled to open on June 28 next year. They will also be used to disseminate information to raise public awareness of family activities and contribute to further preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values and important roles of family as well as providing an excellent opportunity for international friends to know more about Vietnamese families.
