Mr Rua visited Professor-Dr Dao Tien Khoa, who is Director of the Fundamental Research and Calculating Centre under the Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology, and former veteran journalist Do Phuong, who was the former CPV Central Committee member and Director General of the Vietnam News Agency.

On behalf of the Party and State, To Huy Rua highlighted Dr Khoa’s contributions to the country’s science and technology and Mr Phuong’s contributions to the Vietnamese revolutionary press.

The scientist and journalist said they were moved by the Party and State’s special attention and affirmed that they will continue to contribute more to the country’s construction and development.

***The same day, a delegation of the Vietnamese Communist Party Central Committee visited the party committee, people and armed forces of Dien Bien province.

The head of the delegation, General Ngo Xuan Lich, who is also Secretary of the Central Committee, conveyed General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s Lunar New Year regards to them.

General Secretary Trong wished that the northwestern Dien Bien province will gain more successes in its socio-economic development.

On the occasion, General Lich visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers at the Dien Bien Military Command and Border Guard Command.
