Overseas Vietnamese in Germany and Netherlands support flood victims

The overseas Vietnamese community in Germany and Netherlands called on Vietnamese nationals to support flood victims in Vietnam’s central region.

The announcement was made by the Thai Binh Compatriot Association in Dong Xuan market – a big trade fair run by Vietnamese in Berlin on October 16 with mottoes and banners upheld for support of flood victims in the central region. Many Vietnamese businessmen, customers and foreigners actively supported these charity activities.

On October 6, the association also called on the Vietnamese community in Germany through its website. Up until October 16, they raised up to EUR3,000 to help the victims.

Earlier, the Quang Binh Compatriot Association in Germany, the Vietnam Buddhist Association and other organizations also raised funds for people in the flooded regions.

Meanwhile, overseas Vietnamese in the Netherlands and staff from the Vietnamese embassy also raised EUR2,150 (VND58.8 million) to assist flood victims overcome by the consequences of the natural calamity.
