Vietnamese male model Vinh Thuy, who took the Silver Prize at the Vietnam Supermodel 2009 contest, departed for Taiwan on December 8 to take part in Mr International 2009.

The 1.85-metre-tall model is very confident that he will have an impact on the disco night and talent competition where he will play the piano.

Hair designer Tan The Gioi and image director Long Kan will accompany Thuy to Taiwan to make sure he looks his best all the time.

Thuy is sponsored by the Sea Collection Clothing label, while designer Do Manh Cuong has been chosen to design his competition costumes. His traditional costume was designed by Thinh Tri, a teacher at HCM City’s Fine Arts College.

This year’s competition has attracted representatives from 50 countries and territories. The final round will take place next Saturday.
