A series of activities to show Japanese products and art performance are being held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to mark the Mekong-Japan Exchange Year 2009.
A drum performance and a robot show will be organised in Hanoi on November 24 by the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and the Japan International Exchange Fund.
Meanwhile, the Japanese consulate general in HCM City, the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and the Museum of HCM City have worked together to show Japanese products of the 1950s in the city.
Around 100 Japanese products ranging from clothes, vehicles, toys to modern high-technology products like mobile phones, notebook computer and digital cameras are also on display from November 14-24.
The oldest 13 items are from the post-war years and give an insight into the development of Japanese design.
