Hungarian Book Week opens in Hanoi

A Hungarian Book Week opened at the Hanoi Library on January 6 to celebrate the 60 years of Vietnam-Hungary friendship.

The event was organised by the Embassy of Hungary in Vietnam in coordination with the Thanh Nien (Youth) Publishing House. Present at the opening ceremony were the Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam, Vizi Laszlo, the director of the Translation Fund of the Hungarian Book, Karolyi Dora, and poet Falusi Maron.

The book week aims to introduce 30 Hungarian books for readers and over 20 Hungarian books translated into Vietnamese. During the event, visitors will have a chance to meet translators Le Xuan Giang and Nguyen Hong Nhung and see some Hungarian films.

The Hungarian Book Week will last until January 9.
