The Vietnam National Music Institute announced at a press conference in Hanoi on October 30 that the Vietnam-Sweden traditional music exchange programme will take place at the Hanoi Opera House and the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology from November 6-8.

This is part of a SIDA (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency)-funded project to promote Vietnamese culture.

Nearly 170 musicians from 18 ensembles nationwide and especially three famous musicians from Sweden are expected to take part in the programme.

The director of the Vietnam National Music Institute, Le Van Toan, said that this significant event will also review the results of cultural cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden.
