Hanoi hosts exhibition on Vietnam’s border defence

The Vietnam Revolutionary Museum opened an exhibition on the country’s defence of its border and territories in Hanoi on October 6.

More than 300 artifacts, documents and pictures on display reflect the Party and the State’s attention to, and the people’s participation in defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The two-month exhibition will also showcase the efforts made by border missions and the results of border demarcation and the planting of landmarks between Vietnam and the neighbouring countries of Laos, Cambodia and China. Pictures of Vietnam’s actions preserving its sovereignty in the East Sea are also on display.

On the occasion, the museum held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary and receive the Ho Chi Minh Order, the second highest distinction bestowed by Vietnam.

Over the past 50 years, the museum has collected and preserved more than 83,000 items, pictures, documents, books and newspapers, including valuable items related to the revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh, Party and State leaders and revolutionary veterans.
