In a speech of gratefulness to the Hung Kings, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung, head of the delegation, emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh had devoted his whole life to looking after the block of great national unity and that the ethnic minority population is part of it.
After the incense ceremony, the delegates paid floral tribute to Hung Kings at their royal tombs and also laid a wreath at the bas-relief of Uncle Ho talking with soldiers of the Vanguard Group.
Delegates from across the country showed their delight as they visited the ancestral land.
“I feel deeply moved to be here for the first time,” said Mrs. Anna from Kon Tum, adding that she will tell her relatives and neighbours about their visit to the capital Hanoi and the Hung Kings Temples.
The on-going National Ethnic Minority Congress is the very embodiment of national unity and pride.
