The Lao Ministry of Information and Culture held a special art programme in Vientiane on June 30 to mark 30 years of the Laos-Vietnam Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation (July 18) and 45 years of the their diplomacy (September 5).

In his opening address, Lao Deputy Minister of Information and Culture Bouangeune Saphouvong highlighted the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos as well as the significance of the two anniversaries in bilateral relations.
