Admire colorful lanterns in Phu Dinh lantern market - Vietnam
Although there is nearly a month until Mid-Autumn day (the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month or September 12), this market in Ho Chi Minh city’s District 5 is crowded already. The market, located in between the four streets of Tran Hung Dao, Luong Nhu Hoc, Phu Dinh and Nguyen An, has been a special cultural area of Cholon (China Town) in Saigon since the 1960s with its sole product of lanterns for Mid-Autumn day.
Nowadays, this venue is a popular place not only for children but also couples and tourists in Vietnam travel to take photos and admire colorful lanterns in diversified shapes and styles.
