The chapter held a conference on January 24 to review its activities in 2010 and present the ‘good VOV journalist’ title as well as the first VOV journalism awards in the presence of VOV Director General Vu Van Hien.
Addressing the ceremony, the President of the Chapter, Nguyen Chu Nhac, said VOV journalists have made many innovations in their works.
Nhac emphasized their important role in disseminating Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, and the Party and State’s policies and guidelines. They also criticized and refuted wrong allegations and viewpoints as well as the peaceful evolution scheme by hostile forces. All these have helped strengthen people’s confidence in the Party’s renewal process, he said.
In 2010, the VOV journalists focused on improving their professional skills and engaging in many social activities such as presenting gifts to soldiers, poor people, and schools in remote areas and flooded regions.
For 2011, they will continue studying and implementing the resolution of the 11th National Party Congress while stepping up journalistic activities.
At the conference, 16 journalists received the 2010 good VOV journalist title, and the VOV Creative Journalism awards for the first time.
