The Da Nang People’s Committee and Vinpearl., Jsc signed a US$5 billion deal on October 19 to build the Lang Van resort and entertainment complex in the central coastal city of Da Nang.

The Lang Van resort complex, covering 1,065 hectares of land and 500 hectares of water is the largest five-star international property project Vinpearl has developed to date.

The first phase of the project, with a total investment of US$1 billion, will begin in 2012 and the doors are scheduled to open in 2015. The entire project will be completed by 2020.

The Lang Van resort and entertainment complex will comprise a five-star hotel with over 1,000 luxury rooms and a compound of premium apartments and villas.

The resort also features a commercial and service complex, a performance theatre, an international convention hall, helicopter pad, and other sports and recreational facilities including a golf course.

Vinpearl CEO Dang Thanh Thuy said “Vinpearl is committed to develop Lang Van into an international standard five star resort, to be on par with other regional leading resorts”.

Lang Van, situated on a small peninsula in the foot of the Hai Van Pass, is an ideal site for developing a luxury resort because of its white sand beaches and crystal clear water.
