Tan My Hanh of Vietnam was selected to the list of five best guides in the ASEAN Tourist Guides Contest taken place in Indonesia recently.

The contest was taken place recently in Indonesia in the framework of ASEAN tourism cooperation. This is the first time The South East Asia of Tourist Guide Associations cooperate with The Ministry of  Culture and Tourism of Indonesia to organize this contest.

The competition was attended by 18 tourist guides from 9 countries in the spirit of enthusiasm, learning exchanging, and friendliness  together to promote ASEAN Tourism.

Two Vietnamese tourist guides are Huynh Cong Hieu ( Saigontourist’s guide) and Tan My Hanh (Vitours’ guide) selected to participate in this contest.

With the confidence and being well prepared, these two Vietnamese tourist guides has created a good impression from the beginning not only to the jury, but also for other participating countries’ representatives.  They did their best in the competion’s parts.

Among  9 countries participating, only Vietnam and Malaysia had  two tourist guides going to the next part of the contests among  8 best tourist guides. Vietnamese tourist guides’ expression in the competion were appreciated highly by the jury, especially the presentation about Halong Bay of Huynh Cong Hieu and the presentation about Hoi An Ancient Town of Tan My Hanh. After the presentation part about tourist destinations of a country in Southeast Asia, Tan My Hanh of Vietnam are selected to the list of five best guides.

Reportedly, after Indonesia, Thailand will be the next country to host ASEAN Tourist Guides Contest  in 2014.
