Mr Quyen said that overseas Vietnamese in Thailand in general and in Ubon Ratchathani in particular are very proud of the glorious tradition of the Party. They expressed belief that the congress will bring remarkable changes to develop the country.

Over the past 81 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnamese people have struggled for national independence and development of the country following the socialist orientation. In the context of the complicated turmoil in the region and the world, the Party has set forth guidelines in accordance with Vietnam’s real situation, laying a firm foundation to turn Vietnam into a modern industrialized country by 2020.

Mr Quyen said the Congress is the quintessence of the whole nation and summarized experiences from the previous ten congresses. On behalf of the overseas Vietnamese in Ubon Ratchathani, Quyen said he will do his best to realize the politbureau’s resolution 36 on overseas Vietnamese abroad and build a strong Vietnamese community.

The Chairman also represented overseas Vietnamese in the province and gave opinions on the Party Congress’ Draft Document.

Mr Quyen wished the Congress a great success and expressed hope the Party will continue to lead the Vietnamese people to bring fame to the nation as well as upholding the nation’s pride.
