The Vietnam Air Services Co (VASCO) has announced that it will operate an additional nine flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Tuy Hoa Town in central Vietnam during the lunar new year Tet holiday season.

The extra flights, using the ATR72 aircraft, are scheduled to fly on January 24, 25, 27,29,30,31 and February 1 and 3.

Currently, VASC, a unit of Vietnam Airlines, runs one flight on the HCMC-Tuy Hoa route per day.

Nguyen Thanh Tri, deputy director of Phu Yen’s Department of Transport, said the province has proposed that Vietnam Airlines increase flights from HCMC and Hanoi to Tuy Hoa this year to bring more tourists to the central Phu Yen province.
