A festival featuring the story of King Monkey will be held on June 1 by Long Phu Tourist Company on Hon Lao (Monkey Island), north of Nha Trang in south central Khanh Hoa province.

A troop of 800 monkeys live on the island is a 15-minute boat ride from Luong Son Beach in Nha Trang. They are cared for by a management staff that is responsible for taming the monkeys and preventing the spread of any disease.
