The Miss Vietnam in Europe Pageant will be held in Munich on January 9, 2010 as the first event in a programme to mark “Vietnam Year in Germany” and the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties between the two countries.

The contest aims to strengthen links between Vietnamese residents associations to help them preserve their national cultural identity.

The organisation has received support from the Tien Phong (Vanguard) newspaper, VTV4, and Vietnam Airlines.

The pageant organiser - “our common home” association – had already hosted the qualifying round of the first Miss World Vietnam Contest in Munich.
