According to MFC Media, the beauty pageant organiser, around 30 Vietnamese hopefuls from around the world will be selected for this year's final round. To be eligible for the event, candidates should be Vietnamese nationals of the ages of 17-28 who are still single. The total value of this year's first prize will be US$22,000.
At the 2009 Miss Global Vietnam contest, Alex Tran from Texas in the US won the crown. Three runners-up were Huong Giang from Vietnam, Le My Linh from Atlanta and Stephanie Truong Kim Yen from California in the US.
