The seminar will introduce the Mexican people and land to Vietnam, as well as the two countries’ tourism and trade potential.
Rafael Chavez Ortega, Deputy General Director for Asia of the Tokyo-based Mexican Council for Tourism Promotion, is expected to address the seminar about the Mexican tourism market, focusing on cultural and historical heritages in the country.
With a 3,000-year-old culture, Mexico has been blessed with beautiful colonial towns and white sandy beaches along its coastline. It now boasts 26 UNESCO-recognised world heritage sites and many other sites of tourist attractions.
In 2007, Mexico ranked 8th in term of tourist arrivals with 22 million visitors and 14th in terms of tourism revenue worth 13 billion USD.
Meanwhile, Singapore-based Mexico’s Trade Representative for Asia, Salomon Sacal, is expected to give a presentation on trade prospects for Mexico and Vietnam.
The seminar will be a great opportunity for Vietnamese businesses which are keen to invest in one of the world’s leading emerging markets.
