Two piano concerts will feature Italian artist Gabriele Carcano in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on November 19 and 24.

The concerts will include pieces by JS Bach, Beethoven and Liszt.

Pianist Gabriele Carcano is among the most talented and youngest of Italian pianists, and has performed with outstanding musicians in some of the most prestigious theatres.

Having graduated with high honours from the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Turin, he is continuing his music studies in Paris. Considered by national and international critics as one of the most promising talents of Italian classical music, Carcano already saw shining on the stage in Hanoi in March 2009.

The concerts are organised to mark the State visit to Italy by President Nguyen Minh Triet as part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s 3 rd Executive Programme of Cultural and Educational Cooperation signed in March 2009.

The concerts will begin at 8 pm at the Conservatory of Music, 112 Nguyen Du Street, District 1 and the Hanoi Opera House, No.1 Trang Tien Street.
