German representatives of contemporary electro-culture, the brothers Andi and Hannes Teichmann, who are influenced by acid rock, minimal techno, rock, and other genres, will perform.
Along with them will be Tran Huu Tuan Bach, a student of digital music at HCM City’s Music Conservatory and Tri Minh, a popular DJ who participated in a digital music festival called “Asia Pacific Plate” last August in Germany.
The Germans are in town to perform at the European Commission’s 2008 European Music Festival to be held in Hanoi and HCM City from November 25 to December 7.
The Teichmanns, who work as digital musicians and DJs, are considered a symbol of German electro-culture.
Born in Revensburg in 1976 and 1979, respectively, Andi and Hannes discovered a love of music at an early age from their father, the jazz saxophone player Uli Teichmann.
At the ages of nine and 12, they founded the kiddie punk band “Total Loss”. In 1997 they created the electro-rock band Beige GT, which won national and international acclaim in 2001 with its first album, Jukebox Heroes.
Their passion for digital music finds expression in their work as producers of electronic sound. In 2002 they were awarded the Culture Prize of the City of Regensburg, becoming the youngest recipients in the city’s history.
They will perform at the Parkson Saigontourist Plaza, 35 Bis – 45 Le Thanh Ton Street, District 1, HCM City. Entrance is free.
