A contract worth VND9.6 billion has been signed between the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee and sponsors for Vietnam’s second international fireworks contest.

The competition, titled Am Vang Song Han (Echo in Han River), will take place along the Han River on March 27-28.

The event is also part of celebrations of the 34^th anniversary of Da Nang Liberation Day (March 29).

The contestants are well-known fireworks corporations, including Liuyang Dancing (China), Howard&Sons (Australia), Dragon (the Philippines), Caballer (Spain) and the host team.

So far, 30 enterprises have pledged sponsorship for the event. Further fundraising campaigns are planned for Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Last year’s contest drew more than 30,000 attendees.
