Sa Huynh is a coastal area in the southernmost part of Quang Ngai in the communes of Pho Thanh and Pho Chau, Duc Pho District, 60 km south of Quang Ngai City. Due to its location nearing the National Highway 1A and Trans-Viet railway, Sa Huynh is very interesting to travel agencies.

With the original name of Sa Huynh is Sa Hoang (the golden sand), but because the word "Hoang" identical to the name of Lord Nguyen Hoang should read the new one is Huynh. So from the Nguyen Dynasty, the people called this beach was Sa Huynh, the beautiful beach of Quang Ngai.

Sa Huynh beach stretching up to five or six kilometers, curved sickle shape. Owning mountains, yellow sand strips and large blue lagoons, Sa Huynh is topographically abundant. In Sa Huynh there a branch of Truong Son Range running near the coastline, in some places projecting into the sea, making stone areas of amasing shape. 

Visitors can travel to Monkey Island by boat, enter Hoc Mo cave, climb Bau Nu-Chau Me, Thach Bi mountains and explore the beauty of the nature in this poetic and intact region. 

Many people come to Quang Ngai Province to learn about the "Sa Huynh culture," one of the archaeologists on the formation of human life in the past thousand years. Today, the findings of Champa culture, Sa Huynh culture are still found in this land. The integrity of the Creator is preserved through many generations which attracts many tourists from everywhere.

The interesting and valuable archaeological traces, Sa Huynh also has several ancient temples and tombs such as Nam Hai Tomb, Thien Y A Na Temple, Ba Thuy Temple, etc. 

To the Sa Huynh, you will see firsthand the folklore festival of fishermen here such as: singing Bai Choi , the ceremony for peace before catching fish offshore ... etc, hand touching the plate inscription, the ancient inscription thousands of years ago to be proud that you have been coming to an ancient culture of the nation: Sa Huynh culture.

 To Sa Huynh to enjoy crabs and fish sauce. Sa Huynh people have a saying: "The rich of storage, the poor with sauce pot." Echinus (urchin) was rare and only start to catch in season.  Fish sauce was rarer. Sa Huynh fish sauce was famous throughout the country, time of Nguyen Lord, Minh Mang King ordered annually to the local people that "tribute" to the capital 12 kilos of fish sauce. Fish sauce at that time became the "sauce tribute." The next is crabs. This is the big crabs, weighing up; the entire body is red brick. Coming to the Sa Huynh, you will be unforgettable the salt boiled crab dish. Each person can eat some crabs, they fell filled enough. You can choose a few fresh crabs to make presents to your relatives.
