The menu of Hanoi Cuisine don't lack of West Lake shrimp cake!

It's an traditional speciality of Hanoi, mostly around the Westlake area towards the north of the city.

West lake shrimp cake is a very interesting kind of cakes for it is made of fresh shrimps. It is the shrimp caught from West Lake. Shrimp is just small such as little finger, but very fleshy.

 

The cake preparing process includes wheat flour mixed with potato fibres, placing on shape with shrimps upper, then fried with oil. The cake is brittle, soft, sweet-smelling, and served with vegetable pickles and sweet and sour fish sauce for best taste.

 

 

It is a coordinated mix of three colors: yellow, blue and red. The red brick of cooked shrimp to stand out from the nursery of golden dough is fried. White delicate young sprouts and green colors of lettuce, basil is the purple perilla flame base.

 

Sauce also offer customers a real eye-catching colors. It's fresh red pepper slices small,red color of carrots, green and white of pickles made ​​from papaya and hints of garlic. All have made ​​an unforgettable flavor.
